About Kevin Duncan Wong
Kevin D. Wong is a Bay Area-based director, editor, and producer. Following a stint at Lucasfilm's ILM he ventured out into the world of freelance filmmaking where he writes, directs, edits and otherwise renders both fiction and nonfiction films. He has been selected as a Sundance Humanities Sustainability fellow, SFFILM Filmhouse Resident, BAVC National MediaMaker fellow and YBCA Creative Corps Fellow.
His feature debut, Home a Hotel, premiered at the 66th San Francisco International Film Festival where it won the Audience Award and the McBaine Bay Area Documentary Award. It is now streaming on PBS. His short documentary My Little Hilton premiered at Big Sky Doc Fest and the short Home is a Hotel won the Loni Ding award for social justice documentary and Best Short Documentary at Cinequest.
Kevin's feature script Sweeping Graves recieved the 2025 Rainin Grant, was selected for SFFilm's "SF Stories Pitch Forum." and was an Austin Film Fest "Second Rounder". He's written and directed several short narrative films including an adaptation of a Radiolab episode entitled Forgetting and the Sci-Fi thriller Jus Soli starring Lynn Chen. His script Be Still My Child was a Screencraft Horror Semi-Finalist, and his screenplay Nellie was a 2nd round selection in the Sundance Screenwriters Lab.
