About Kevin Duncan Wong
Kevin D. Wong is a Bay Area-based director, editor, and producer. Following a stint at Lucasfilm's ILM he ventured out into the world of freelance filmmaking where he writes, directs, edits and otherwise renders both fiction and nonfiction films.
His feature debut, Home a Hotel, premiered at the 66th San Francisco International Film Festival where it won the Audience Award and the McBaine Bay Area Documentary Award. His short documentary My Little Hilton premiered at Big Sky Doc Fest and the short Home is a Hotel won the Loni Ding award for social justice documentary and Best Short Documentary at Cinequest.
Kevin is currently a YBCA Creative Capital Fellow and has been a Sundance Humanities Sustainability fellow, SFFILM Filmhouse Resident and BAVC National MediaMaker fellow.
He has also written and directed narrative films including an adaptation of a Radiolab episode entitled Forgetting, the Sci-Fi thriller Jus Soli starring Lynn Chen. Kevin's script for Sweeping Graves, was an Austin Film Fest "Second Rounder", his script Be Still My Child was a Screencraft Horror Semi-Finalist, and his screenplay Nellie was a 2nd round selection in the Sundance Screenwriters Lab.
